Bernita Le Gerette
Bernita is assistant professor for Theory of Architecture at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and is also working on her dissertation about the German-Mexican architect Max Cetto (1903-1980). She studied Fashion Design as well as Architecture in Berlin, Stuttgart and Mexico City. After her studies, she worked as an architect for Atelier Brückner in Stuttgart, a firm specialized in scenography and exhibition design. In Stuttgart, Bernita has been teaching at the State Academy of Art and Design (SABK), the Institute of Architectural History at the University of Stuttgart as well as the University of Applied Sciences, where she developed a seminar program for international students. From 2011-2014, she was a scholar of the SABK Stuttgart as well as the Brigitte-Schlieben-Lange-Program. Bernita has been lecturing on the work of Max Cetto and on Mexico City and has participated with her work in various exhibitions in Germany and Mexico. She founded LEGEER Architects with her partner Florian Kneer in 2012.
